Not to be missed either, the Caen Memorial and the American cemetery of Omaha Beach, in Colleville sur mer, respectively 30 and 40 minutes by car.
To not miss any of these sites, we advise you to take a look at the website of Normandie Tourisme, dedicated to the landing beaches.
William's Normandy
Normandy is the country of William the Conqueror, who left many vestiges, such as the Men's Abbey, where his burial rests, the Ladies' Abbey, where Queen Matilde's rests, the Château de Caen and the Château deFalaise. Not to mention the famous Bayeux tapestry.
For more information, we recommend the Normandy Tourism website, dedicated to William the Conqueror.
